Grease Interceptor Service Records — Austin Water
Austin grease interceptors must be pumped at least every 90 days — or sooner if FOG and solids reach 50% of wetted height — with manifests retained. No enzymes permitted.
What it is. Recurring pump-out and maintenance of the grease interceptor with retained manifests, under Austin Water Pretreatment / Industrial Waste requirements (Austin City Code Ch. 15-10).

When you need it. Ongoing.
How to comply. Pump out at least every 90 days, OR sooner when FOG and solids make up 50% or more of the wetted height of the trap — whichever comes first. Use a licensed hauler; keep pump-out manifests. Do NOT add enzymes, chemicals, or other agents (prohibited under City Code).
Cadence. At least every 90 days, or when 50% of wetted height is FOG/solids.
