Overview

Any business selling or making alcohol within Marietta city limits must obtain a City Alcoholic Beverage License before a state license. After submitting the application and checklist, email the Business License Division to schedule an appointment; the applicant, owners, and agent undergo a Marietta Police Department background check.

The City Manager reviews new applications on the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Once approved, the city forwards consumption-on-premise / retail-package approvals to the State; you then complete the state license via the Georgia Tax Center and return a copy to the city. Distance restrictions from churches/schools apply (Marietta Municode).

What SpoonSeal tracks

The document(s) you upload for this requirement, with automatic renewal/expiration tracking (Current, Due Soon, Expired). Where the city publishes health-inspection results (e.g., NYC and Chicago), SpoonSeal syncs them automatically; elsewhere they can be added manually.

SpoonSeal stores your documents, tracks expirations, and reminds you before anything lapses — so you are always inspection-ready.
