Restaurants located in the City of Miami must obtain a City Business Tax Receipt (in addition to the county receipt).
What it is. The City of Miami Business Tax Receipt (BTR) — required to legally do business in the city.
Who issues it. City of Miami — Finance (City layer).
When you need it. To operate. A valid, current City of Miami Certificate of Use must be obtained first.
How to apply. Obtain the Certificate of Use, then apply for the BTR through the City of Miami.

Renewal. Annual.
