What it is. The Nevada Sales/Use Tax Permit authorizing a business to collect and remit sales tax on taxable sales of prepared food and beverages (NRS 372.220).

Who issues it. Nevada Department of Taxation — via My Nevada Tax (State layer). You must hold the State Business License first.

When you need it. Before making taxable sales.

How to apply. Apply online at My Nevada Tax after obtaining the State Business License.
