Restaurants in the City of Tampa must obtain a City Business Tax Receipt (with zoning clearance) in addition to the county receipt.

Who issues it. City of Tampa — Business Tax Division (Neighborhood Empowerment Department) (City layer).
When you need it. To operate. Applications require zoning clearance plus your state DBPR license.
How to apply. Apply for the BTR (appointment required); upload the lease, zoning clearance, and state license.

Renewal. Annual (expires Sep 30).
